BLM celebrates growth with Dublin office move

Relevant Tags

BLM, leading insurance risk and commercial law specialist, has more than doubled its Dublin office space, moving to new headquarters in the city centre at St Stephen’s Green House, Dublin 2.

The move comes as BLM experiences solid growth due to an ever–growing customer base and to opportunities within the recently–established international network, Global Insurance Law Connect, of which BLM is a founder member. BLM’s Dublin office developed an all–Ireland capacity in 2014 when it merged with long–standing firm Campbell Fitzpatrick Solicitors.

Acting for many leading insurance companies in Ireland, the BLM Dublin office is led by partner Gavin Campbell who commented on the expansion, “BLM Dublin is an award winning firm for defendant insurance litigation, in both the private and public sectors.

Gavin continued, “We have built on the strong foundations set by our core team, led by Rhona McGrath, and expanded to continue to deliver top–class case handling for our growing client base. Building from this, we have established a specialist healthcare team, led by Nessa O’Roarty, who also leads on our work for State Claims Agency.

“Most recently we expanded further with the appointment of Garrett Cormican to lead our Professional Indemnity team and take forward our defence work on behalf construction, legal and financial services professionals. And in the coming months we will seek to increase our head count further with senior hires in a number of key strategic areas. Our strong presence in Ireland will also allow us to service insurance businesses that may relocate to Ireland in order to retain an EU–presence after Brexit.”

BLM’s insurance customers include 15 of the top 20 UK insurers, along with leading brokers, Managing General Agents, loss adjusters and other intermediaries.
