Cpl Resources Plc, one of the fastest growing recruitment companies on the island of Ireland, which employs over 25 people across its Belfast, Newry and Derry offices has today reported a 12 per cent increase in revenues to €216.4 million for the six months ending 31 December 2015. The only company listed on the Dublin and London stock exchange, Cpl has targeted Northern Ireland as a key growth region for the business.

The business posted a 20 per cent increase in gross profit to €34 million during the six month period, while operating profit rose 39 per cent to €8.4 million.  The results highlight that Cpl has achieved growth across all of the main business units and markets, and the acquisition of UK firm Clinical Professionals in September 2015 also contributed to its strong performance during the period. The overall group’s profit before tax increased 25 per cent to €7.5 million for the six month period. With 36 offices across 9 countries the company last year appointed Áine Brolly, former Invest NI Senior Vice President in the US to drive the business in Northern Ireland.

Áine commented:   “We are delighted with our results but while the economy is improving there are still skills shortages in certain sectors which continues to be challenging. At Cpl we believe in developing our network regionally across Northern Ireland and remain committed to developing our economic footprint here. This will be achieved through building the teams across our three offices and identifying opportunities to acquire a local recruitment business.”
