New research by Milano has found over two-thirds (69%) of parents admit to finding planning children’s birthday parties more stressful than their day job.

The research comes as Milano broadens its Kids’ Pizza Making Party offering, which promises to take the stress out of party planning for parents

Wednesday 15th May 2024: Choosing food everyone will like (30%), accommodating endless dietary requirements (27%), invitation politics (30%) and competing with other parents to host the best party (17%)…These are just some of the reasons why over two-thirds (68%) of parents in Ireland agree that planning a children’s birthday party is one of the most stressful tasks you can undertake as a parent, new research by Milano has found.

The survey of 500 parents, commissioned by Milano to celebrate its Kids’ Pizza Making Parties, hilariously reveals the highs and woes of throwing a birthday party for children, as over two-thirds (69%) admit to finding the task more stressful than their day job.

But with an exciting new look Kids’ Pizza Making Party offering, Milano promises to take the stress out of children’s parties once and for all, covering everything from the invites and entertainment, to the food and dietary requirements, even the birthday cake and post-party clean up.

Encouraging kids to have fun at its pizza making masterclass, your Milano party host will have the little ones tossing their very own dough and learning how to make their own pizza before being let loose on the ingredients – with everything from bottomless squash throughout, to party games to keep the energy high and delicious gelato to finish – it’s the ultimate one-stop-shop for all parents’ children’s party planning worries.

Jo Vaughton, Marketing Director at Milano said, “There is no doubt parents put themselves under pressure each year to organise a memorable party for their kids. At Milano we want to take the stress out of the planning by offering the full party package that is great fun for kids as well something parents can actually look forward to. Our new look party package aims to offer not only a brilliant birthday party but a new skill that kids can take home…”

From practical elements like the clean-up (46%) and shopping for party bags (18%), to no shows (36%) and having to deal with tantrums (32%), these are just some of the elements that parents find the least enjoyable about hosting a kids’ party, with nearly 8 in 10 (78%) parents wishing they could simply hand the reins over to someone else.

Beyond the stress, however, over a third (38%) of parents agreed that planning children’s parties gives them a sense of achievement and around three-quarters (71%) love seeing the joy on their child’s face.

With Milano's Kids' Pizza Making Party offering, parents can finally breathe a sigh of relief amidst the chaos of planning their child's birthday celebration, with Milano promising to make your child's special day truly memorable.
